More Fun Fall Photos and Family Fellowship

Thanksgiving at Pete and Erica's

We all enjoy Thanksgiving down in California with the family. They are more than gracious hosts. This year Mom and Dad flew on and we had a blast; two big meals, one with the immediate family and one with the cousins. We shopped and walked and cooked and enjoyed one another.

Simon's 17th Birthday

We went over to the beach for Simon's birthday and rode the dunes. You have to park and hike a ways to get to the decent dunes, but the rains stopped and the hills were a blast. Simon was good from the beginning, thanks to his days of snowboarding. The rest of us shared boards and fell tons.

Lydia's fall meets

This is Lydia's second season in Level 4. Typically the gymnasts go two seasons and then move up. So Level 5 for Lydia this spring. As a Level 4 last Spring she won 1st in State in her age division on beam. Grandma and Grandpa were there to watch. This season she placed second on beam with a 9.70. The competition in her age division is fierce. Both season's she placed 4th All-Around. It's her passion for now.

The judges watching. This particular meet she placed First in every event and First All Around. It was a banner meet for her.

Giving me the look. I was a proud momma!

This is the state meet up in Portland. She was the only one from her gym in this age division. It was a bit tough on her because she loves the banter and encouragement from the teammates. But she was awesome, Mom was tense and all went super.

This season she is in Level 5, hasn't competed yet because she is still hammering out the advanced skills.

A visit with Grandma and Grandpa.

We have the good fortune to get a visit from Mom and Dad 3-4 times a year because Dad is on Leo's Advisory Board. It is such an incredible blessing! Mom comes a couple times to hang out with us and participate in our adventures. This visit we dragged them through the cornmaze, carved pumpkins, bowled and dressed Grandpa up. What good sports they are.
